Women's Fashion Boots for TravelTall Black Boots, Brown Boots, and Tan Boots with Heels for WalkingSep 5, 2009 Christina Gregoire
Women's fashion boots are great for travel. Look for tall black boots, brown boots, and tan boots with medium heels for walking.
Women's fashion boots are great for fall/winter fashion and for traveling in style. Every woman needs a pair of tall black boots with heels, and lucky gals also have brown boots and tan boots with medium heels for walking. Why is it so hard for designers to make a perfect travel boot? Well, a boot doesn’t have to be designed specifically for travel, but if a gal can walk all around town in a pair of boots, she's going to like them for travel, as well. Leather BootsThe first thing to look for is a natural upper. While those stretchy man-made faux products may sell, the best boots are made with leather or suede. Do not buy boots made of fabric or plastic, unless they really fit, and make sure they are broken in before running from concourse A to concourse B to catch a plane. Most of the time, leather is preferable, but suede is good for women who like a boot to stretch out and mold to her feet. Unfortunately, suede is not as good with water and it often doesn’t wear as well as leather. But, sometimes comfort makes suede the best option. Perfect BootsThe perfect boots are almost impossible to find, but here are the qualities found in a great pair of travel boots:
A tall boot must have a full inside zip. It’s difficult enough to get a pull-on boot pulled on at home, imagine the fun of struggling with it at Check-Point Charlie (airport security). Buckles can be very cute and make a boot look smart, but a perfect boot will not have too many metallic frills. Why? Buckles sometimes attack fragile garments and snag sweaters in a suitcase. Also, buckles occasionally catch on long skirts, throwing a woman off balance just as she’s descending stairs in a German castle or stepping onto an older-style commuter train. Pointed toes are said to make a woman look taller, but it’s not going to matter if she has tears in her eyes from the pain. When purchasing a pair of pointy-toed boots, consider getting them in suede. Walking BootsWith all the problems with boots, and all the room they take up in luggage, why bother taking boots at all? A well-fitting boot is more stable on cobblestones, and other uneven surfaces, than a similar shoe. It’s true. A gal will have an easier time maneuvering tricky walkways with the extra ankle support, and this is really important when wearing heels. Boots are convenient. A black or brown boot will give an unbroken leg line compared with a shoe. Except for special evenings, where a cocktail dress is worn, a good boot is pefect for any outfit. With most skirts, there is no need to find matching tights or stockings. And, Boomer Chicks don't have to have perfectly groomed legs with boots. Save the money that is usually spent on waxing and pedicures, and get those fabulous boots. Black Boots
Brown BootsAfter finding a great pair of black boots, it's nice to have a lighter color to go with browns, burgundies, greens, plaids, and anything in mid-range tones.
Tan BootsTan boots are sometimes hard to find. And, that’s too bad because they are great in spring, summer, and fall. Light colored boots are fabulous with skirts. A light tan looks a bit like the wearer is going barefoot, and a heel will add enough height to make a gal gorgeous. It's a really good look.
Boots can be better than shoes for walking around town or for wearing on far-away travels. Great-fitting boots are practical. Women should look online, often, to see what's new, and to be ready to pounce on expensive boots that come on sale. Find this interesting?
